From Witch-Hunt: Rose Guns Days demo is available in English today.

Now that 07th Expansion’s new franchise has its demo released, a lot of people are probably quite curious about what kind of story it is.

That said, what’s better than just having to rely on summaries and the likes? Do you remember the “surprise” I was mentioning during Epitanime?
Bingo: that would be reading the demo yourself, and that’s what we gonna make it happen… right here right now.

In other words: We, Witch Hunt, are proud to announce that Rose Guns Days demo is available in English today.
Please download the demo of the game (Special thanks to teus, Message and Roto for hosting the patch-compatible version of the Japanese game) and the patch can be found at our website, as usual. Installers for both Windows and Mac OSX are available.

As a little reminder, Rose Guns Days is a completely new and fresh series written by 07th Expansion’s Ryukishi07. It is however drastically different compared to Naku Koro ni and Higanbana series, being defined as a hard boiled action series, with mini game to spice things up.
Therefore, you won’t have anything akin to mystery talk and whatnot.

Speaking of minigame, please note that we advise you not to use any screen resolution change, such like a cfg file. The reason is that we noticed that such change often lead to a delay for the strike zones, despite the time counter stays the same, which might makes things harder in this case, or more frustrating for high scores.
Full screen however shouldn’t affect that, so you might try it.

As usual, should you encounter any glitch, typo, etc, please let us know!
Anyway, please enjoy Ryukishi’s newest story.

Rose Guns Days Trial is out!

07th Expansion, the writing circle behind Higanbana no Saku Yoru Ni, Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, have put out a demo for their latest novel, Rose Guns Days. RGD is a hard-boiled action novel expected to be released next month during the Comic Market at Tokyo Big Sight between August 10th and 12th. Witch-hunt, the group behind the English translation of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, will handle translating RGD into English.

Check out the Japanese demo [480mb] here!

We have a group name now! "Spider Lily Translations"

We spider lilies would like to thank everyone for your support, and we're extremely proud that everyone has been reading and enjoying Higanbana no Saku Yoru Ni - The First Night. Here's a brief preview for the 1.1 patch we're going to be releasing this week. The music room has been updated with romaji titles and information on the music files. This will make music easier to refer to among fellow English-speaking Higanbana fans.

Blog style updated

I went ahead and modified the blog here so that it's a bit more pleasing to the eyes (at least I hope you think so!), and I also crafted an English version of the Higanbana title logo.

Maybe things will look a little bit more professional now, although we don't have our own website, nor do we have an official group title. Nothing sounds good enough to me, personally.

Also I recently read that Rose Guns Days is going to be translated by Witch-Hunt. Good luck to everyone involved, and I can't wait to read it myself!

The Second Night: Work Begins

We have a system already in place, and I've just set up for our Higanbana no Saku Yoru Ni: The Second Night English translation patch project.

Thanks everyone for your interest in 07th Expansion's work and our own endevours as fans of Ryukishi07's works. If you're interested in helping us translate The Second Night, please feel free to get in touch with us.

Just tidying up~

Yes we're almost there everyone. Just a little bit longer. We're at 100% and the editing is done. I just wrote the readme file.

It'll be at least a couple more hours though unfortunately. I'm not satisfied with the character profiles and I'm just like... no... these must all be re-translated.

Also there's a problem in the glossary system at the moment, but it only affected the last two entries so we'll look into it and fix that in a patch after the initial release. Gosh...
